Seven First Place Awards in 2010 Parade of Homes for Bay Area ContractingJULY 2010 – Bay Area Contracting of Traverse City, owned by Dean and Tricia Adams, was honored with the prestigious People’s Choice Award and seven first place awards by the Home Builders Association Grand Traverse Area at their recognition ceremony for 2010 Parade of Homes entries. This is the third year Bay Area Contracting, which has received Parade of Homes awards every year since 2008, has won the People’s Choice Award. Bay Area Contracting won first place awards in all seven competitive categories for homes valued at $650,000 or more including the Master Suite Award, Interior Design Award, Kitchen Award, Exterior Design Award, Craftsmanship Award, Judge’s Choice Award and the Pinnacle Award. This year’s recognition ceremony took place July 13, 2010 at the Holiday Inn. “It’s a real honor to receive all seven first place awards in our category,” says Adams. “But even more exciting is to receive the People’s Choice Award. Since founding our own company in 2007, Tricia and I have been focused on creating homes that fulfill people’s dreams, which makes winning this award particularly meaningful.” The award winning home is located on Arbutus Lake. At just over 4,700 square feet it features four bedrooms, three bathrooms and two half baths. One of the bathrooms is directly accessible from the lake and features an outdoor shower. Dean Adams is a northern Michigan native who began working in the building industry as a framer in 1998. He studied engineering at Grand Valley State University. After moving back to Traverse City he and his wife Tricia founded Bay Area Contracting in 2007 and began entering the Parade of Homes in 2008 and 2009. Tricia Adams, a neonatal nurse at Munson Hospital, is involved with marketing and home design for Bay Area Contracting. |
