Bay Area Contracting owner Dean Adams named Distinguished Builder of the Year

MAY 2010 – Dean Adams, owner of Bay Area Contracting received the Distinguished Builder of the Year award for 2009 from the Home Builder’s Association of the Grand Traverse Area. The award was announced recently by the association.

Adams was nominated for the award by other members of the association. “It’s really an honor to know that your peers in the business think so highly of you,” says Adams. “When Tricia and I started Bay Area Contracting in 2007, we set high standards for how we wanted to run our business and how we would treat our customers. Receiving this type of award is really gratifying.  It assures me that we are continuing to meet – and hopefully exceed – the standards we set for ourselves.”

The Distinguished Builder of the Year award recognizes professionalism and ethical business practices, which were reflected in the comments of the HBA members who nominated Adams. Those comments described Adams’ work as having “outstanding quality” and noted that he demonstrates “a high level of integrity,” has a “terrific reputation” and an “ongoing commitment to excellence.”

Bay Area Contracting was founded by Dean and Tricia Adams in 2007. Adams began working in the building industry as a framer in 1998. In 2008 Bay Area Contracting won four awards for their Parade of Homes entry, including the People’s Choice Award. In 2009 the company again won the People’s Choice Award as well as seven other awards for the Parade of Homes.
